Playing off the impressive success of the original Linage, the developers at NCsoft pulled out all the stops when they created Lineage II, a 3D fantasy MMORPG set 150 years before the events in the first game take place. Built on the Unreal Engine 2, Lineage II was a huge step forward technologically for the series and was certainly a different sort of game than its predecessor.

Players that enter the world will first select their race (Human, Dwarf, Elf, Dark Elf, and Orc) then select between two archetypes (Fighter or Mage). After advancing a few levels in the game, players will then select a sub-class, which is determined by your archetype selection and your player race.

The gameplay in Lineage II revolves around the killing of monsters. While there is a fully-functional questing system in the game, the most common way for players to gain experience is through "grinding" - killing monsters in the environment over and over again. Player versus player combat is also a very integral portion of the game and uses a Karma system to insure that PvP combat does not go out of control and impact the play of other players.

Finally, Lineage II has achieved a good measure of popularity on the global market, although never reaching the numbers that were touted in the first Lineage title.

Lineage II adopted a "Truly Free" business model with the launch of its Goddess of Destruction update in November 2011.

Sorry, we don't have any recent content of that type.
