Gorgeous visuals and a wacky theme? Sounds like an eastern MMO to me.

If you're wondering how a combination of Diablo-esque gameplay, party systems in an MMO, and a distinctly victorian style stacks up, MPOGD has just the preview you need to read.

    Preview and New Screenshots

Games Radar has posted a look at the upcoming Sword of the New World today. Thier preview includes several new screenshots.

Aesthetically, the game successfully melds its 17th century setting with traditional high-fantasy flair. Dapper casters - that look more suited for a night at the ball than a dungeon - fling area-of-effect fire blasts, and gun-slinging dames in saucy bodices riddle demons with lead.

    Hands On Impressions

RPG Land updated their site with a look at the upcoming Sword of the New World. Keep reading to see what they thought...

Quests in Granado Espada are quite typical of the genre. Granado Espada takes from some current MMORPGs and also contains missions. The player will get his/her own instance of a location in a mission very similar to that of Guild Wars. This offers some variety to normal find/retrieve questing.

    This Game is Baroque...with Style.

With nary a Bach reference, 1up.com has posted a scintilating look at the Baroque-stylized MMO, Sword of the New World: Grenada Espada (previously known as simply Grenada Espada). While that may sound strange at first, with graphics akin to Lineage II and a uniquely compelling multi-character system, it's worth your time to check out the preview. Here's a snippet:

But art direction aside, one of the unique features of Sword of the New World is the Multi-Character Control system. Players will be able to create an entire family of characters to play with. Each family can have up to four members, and the members will carry the family surname. Best of all, you can take up to three family members out in a party at the same time. For people who can't decide on any one class to focus on, now you can level up three at once.

Time to get your Baroque on. Read it!
