More on Ten Ton Hammer

SAGA is a persistent online massively-multiplayer real-time strategy game from Silverlode Interactive and Wahoo Studios. It is a persistent world, which means that every building you build, troop you buy, and piece of land you conquer remains with you as long as you play the game.

There are two main aspects of gameplay in Saga. The first is managing your nation. During nation management you will be able to check the status of your nation, instruct your peasants’ activities, visit the market to trade resources, troops, and spells, and work with your guild to create a powerful empire. The second aspect of gameplay takes place on the battlefield, where players marshal their units in massive online battles.

SAGA is free-to-play, but it offers players a full version of the game that has additional features for $19.99 and it also offers booster packs for their troops which can be kept or traded to other players for different troops.

Creating a persistent MMORTS is nothing to sneeze at. Although SAGA hasn't caught fire like World of Warcraft or sold gazillions of copies, celebrating a year in the MMO space is nothing to sneeze...

    Taking the road less traveled.

Saga and Wahoo Studios have officially separated, according to a press release issued by the Silverlode Interactive, the company developing Saga. Along with the press release, the numbers for Saga's open beta test were announced, which is currently at 15,000 players. Not a paltry number for a small, independent studio.
