    This past week, Multiverse announced that they had obtained the rights from FOX to produce an MMORPG based on the Firefly, a sci-fi show with a tremendous cult-following. As you can imagine, the announcement spurred our members into action on our forums. Some are already anxiously awaiting this new incarnation of a favorite franchise, while others are undeniably skeptical of the game's possible success.

    Firefly fans can rejoice. The rumors are true. This press release tells us that Multiverse and Fox Licensing & Merchandising are indeed teaming up!

    "Fox's Firefly series is set in an incredibly rich and exciting universe. It's going to make a very compelling and unique online experience filled with adventure, humor, and mystery," said Corey Bridges, Multiverse co-founder and Executive Producer. "It's our hope that Firefly's passionate and dedicated community of fans will enjoy the chance to become part of the story as they develop and explore the worlds of Firefly."
