Stargate Resistance is a team-based 3rd-person action shooter set in the Stargate universe. The game will allow players from three classes from the two warring factions of Stargate Command (Soldier, Commando, and Scientist) and the System Lords (Jaffa, Ashrak, and Goa'uld). There will be a number of weapons available at launch with more opening up as players increase their rank and gain achievements. Up to 16 players can join in and battle through the available maps. There are three currently game modes announced for launch: Team Deathmatch, Capture the Tech, and Domination.

After years of controversy and lawsuits, CME lost the license for their Stargate games in November, 2010 and on January 15th, 2011 shut down service for its Stargate Resistance game and ended its Stargate Worlds forums support.
