Fallout Online is an MMORPG based on the popular Fallout series. Previously codenamed Project V13, Fallout Online will expand the series into the MMORPG genre, but all the player favorites of radiation blasted mountain tops, mutated creatures and the fun scenes of a post-apocalyptic world will be back.
Work on Fallout Online ceased following Bethesda's reclaiming of the IP licensing rights for the MMOG after a long and nasty legal battle with Interplay. Bethesda terminated Interplay's licensing rights for Fallout Online as part of the court settlement in January 2012. For now, there is no longer a Fallout-based MMOG unless Bethesda plans to create one later.
