    The team at WoW Ten Ton Hammer are at it again! Updates to the Where to Adventure guide are on deck today for you.

    Messiah here, back on updating our "Where to Adventure Guide". This time around I am focusing on updating the zones and instances found on Kalimdor. That mainly means Horde and Night Elf territory for the low levels, but also some of the best high level zones late in the game. I'll get to those later though.

    Today I look at the entry level zones and instances up to level 20. This includes Durotar, Mulgor, Darkshore, The Barrens, Ragefire Chasm and more.

    Another already great class guide has just been updated, this time the Priest Guide has received special treatment. Our guide is a look at all the builds, tactics, equipment and more that you need to survive as a Priest in the World of Warcraft.

    A Priest is the pull your butt out of the fire and keep it cool class in the World of Warcraft. The Priest is a specialized healer, and the primary healing class for both the Alliance and the Horde. The Priest is a support class that makes the players around him or her last longer and absorb more damage.

  • Hooked on WoW?

    Hooked on Games has posted a preview of WoW's soon to be released expansion The Burning Crusade. Keep reading to see how they think this expansion is shaping up.

    The first new race being introduced to the Horde by the expansion is the Blood Elves. The Blood Elves are outcasts of there native homelands, driven out and stripped of their eternal life after they became corrupted by the very magic in which they sought out to possess. Currently the class selection available for the Blood elves will be Rogue, Mage, Warlock, Priest, and Warrior. Their racial traits will be centered around using magic. These traits will include Mana Tap, which gives the Blood Elf the power to drain mana from an opponent, and Arcane Torrent, which silences an opponent for two seconds.

  • Frank Pierce Talks with German Site

    WorldofWar.net and their partnersite WorldofWar.de have published an interview with Blizzard's Frank Pierce. This interview took place during the EU Press tour.

    You decided to give the horde the Paladin and the community's response to the news was massive. People are concerned about the balancing. Are there any differences in the classes depending on the faction? what's is the future for the game as there appears to be no difference.

    There won't be any notable distinction between the classes available to the Alliance and Horde but in terms of PvP, battlegrounds and the war and all that stuff, it's all still there. I don't think that because we have this class cross-over that we're going to see any drop-off in the amount of PvP, because at the end of the day, they are still warring factions. I still hate the Alliance as much as I did before :)

    Certainly, the community was very vocal about the announcement and that's healthy. We want to hear what the community has to say, they wouldn't be so vocal if they didn't care about the game and so in that respect it's good to know they care so much about the game.

  • A Look at Rogue Changes in 1.12

    In the upcoming patch 1.12 "Drums of War" the Rogue class will
    be receiving a talent review to make them fit better with modern
    times. Lots of things have been changed to better improve the Rogue's
    damage and utility in both PvP and PvE. We've taken a look at some of
    the changes and have given our views on how it'll affect you along
    with some sample builds. The patch may be a little ways off but it's
    never a bad idea to be fully prepared for it!

    "The new changes add a lot of new variety to everyone's talent build.
    Instead of choosing a way to go and picking the best talents then
    choosing which sub-par ones you'd like, you now have a vast wealth of
    excellent talents to choose from. Many talents that many considered
    useless were removed or merged with other talents to make them much
    more desirable."

    "And while we're on the subject of death, it's absolutely imperative to soulstone a paladin, priest, druid, or shaman (in that order of preference, pally's last the longest and have the best chance at fighting their way to dead groupmates) while you're grouped. If said player seems... aloof, politely inform them that they need to get the frak out of there should the battle turn sour; they're the group's insurance against a wipe. If they do need to die, they need to do it in a nearby safe place where they can resurrect themselves then the rest of the party. Note that it's not enough to have a soulstone in your inventory, you need to click and cast it on someone. Soulstones are THE biggest way you can be a hero to your group."

    Not to be egotistical or anything (I mean a guy with the self appointed title of Messiah wouldn’t have an ego, would he?), but we at Ten Ton Hammer have some of the best class guides out there! And the few times we screw up or let something slip by our omnipotent vision, we listen to all our loyal readers and quickly correct our mistakes or add things the missing items.

    Well, lately we’ve gotten a few comments that something seemed to be missing from the Mage guide on our site, so I’ve spent the last little while reviewing and updating it. Just a few of the many updates that we did are:

  • New Information on Paladins and Shamans

    The World of Warcraft official site has been updated with a new information page that offers a look at the upcoming Burning Crusades expansion. This new page also gives us a look at the Paladin and Shaman as well as a class/race guide. Good stuff huh? Did I mention that there are new screenshots as well?

    As we draw closer to the release of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, more of the secrets shrouding the draenei and blood elves are being revealed. In the upcoming expansion, you will finally be able to play classes that were previously unavailable to your faction. The blood elves have harnessed the power of the Light for their own needs, and the Horde recognizes the value of these renegade blood elf paladins. Meanwhile, the draenei have been granted the wisdom and strength of the elements, and a number of draenei now follow the path of the shaman.
