The Burning Crusade + World of Warcraft Features, Guides, and more

  • Hooked on WoW?

Hooked on Games has posted a preview of WoW's soon to be released expansion The Burning Crusade. Keep reading to see how they think this expansion is shaping up.

The first new race being introduced to the Horde by the expansion is the Blood Elves. The Blood Elves are outcasts of there native homelands, driven out and stripped of their eternal life after they became corrupted by the very magic in which they sought out to possess. Currently the class selection available for the Blood elves will be Rogue, Mage, Warlock, Priest, and Warrior. Their racial traits will be centered around using magic. These traits will include Mana Tap, which gives the Blood Elf the power to drain mana from an opponent, and Arcane Torrent, which silences an opponent for two seconds.

Check out the rest of this preview and don't forget to head over to WoW Ten Ton Hammer for all the latest news, information and interviews. Stop by the forums and share your thoughts with us about this upcoming expansion.

  • Frank Pierce Talks with German Site

WorldofWar.net and their partnersite WorldofWar.de have published an interview with Blizzard's Frank Pierce. This interview took place during the EU Press tour.

You decided to give the horde the Paladin and the community's response to the news was massive. People are concerned about the balancing. Are there any differences in the classes depending on the faction? what's is the future for the game as there appears to be no difference.

There won't be any notable distinction between the classes available to the Alliance and Horde but in terms of PvP, battlegrounds and the war and all that stuff, it's all still there. I don't think that because we have this class cross-over that we're going to see any drop-off in the amount of PvP, because at the end of the day, they are still warring factions. I still hate the Alliance as much as I did before :)

Certainly, the community was very vocal about the announcement and that's healthy. We want to hear what the community has to say, they wouldn't be so vocal if they didn't care about the game and so in that respect it's good to know they care so much about the game.

  • A Look at Rogue Changes in 1.12

In the upcoming patch 1.12 "Drums of War" the Rogue class will
be receiving a talent review to make them fit better with modern
times. Lots of things have been changed to better improve the Rogue's
damage and utility in both PvP and PvE. We've taken a look at some of
the changes and have given our views on how it'll affect you along
with some sample builds. The patch may be a little ways off but it's
never a bad idea to be fully prepared for it!

"The new changes add a lot of new variety to everyone's talent build.
Instead of choosing a way to go and picking the best talents then
choosing which sub-par ones you'd like, you now have a vast wealth of
excellent talents to choose from. Many talents that many considered
useless were removed or merged with other talents to make them much
    more desirable."

Step out of the shadows and give this article a look. What do you think of these changes? Will they help, hinder, or not make a difference? Let us know in the forums at WoW Ten Ton Hammer.

  • Updates, New Additions to Warlock Guide

At WoW - Ten Ton Hammer, we've updated our popular Warlock guide in style. No less than four chapters have been revamped for readability, and we've added talent builds, quests, grouping tips, macros and user interface hints just for 'locks, and refreshed links to other guides and added more of our personal favorites. If you want to unlock the true power of the shadow without the pretense of being a do-gooder priest, have we got a guide for you!

"And while we're on the subject of death, it's absolutely imperative to soulstone a paladin, priest, druid, or shaman (in that order of preference, pally's last the longest and have the best chance at fighting their way to dead groupmates) while you're grouped. If said player seems... aloof, politely inform them that they need to get the frak out of there should the battle turn sour; they're the group's insurance against a wipe. If they do need to die, they need to do it in a nearby safe place where they can resurrect themselves then the rest of the party. Note that it's not enough to have a soulstone in your inventory, you need to click and cast it on someone. Soulstones are THE biggest way you can be a hero to your group."

  • Premier World of Warcraft Zone for Horde Examined

The Barrens is the premier World of Warcraft zone for Horde characters in their teens to quest and gain near-effortless experience. WoW - Ten Ton Hammer's newest beginner guide looks at this region, a favorite of critics and players alike for its solid design. It's all the goodness you expect from a Ten Ton Hammer region guide, with background, a walkthrough and a detailed map, quest details, harvesting tips, and advice on where to adventure next!

"Aside from adventure opportunities, you'll find yourself travelling through the Barrens long past when you can benefit from hunting there. The Crossroads, in the center of the Barrens, is Azeroth's LAX, though after patch 1.10 you may not touch at the Crossroads en-route to your destination, more Horde flights originate here than from any other Horde flight master. Ratchet, to the east of the Crossroads, is a neutral port for ships bound for Booty Bay. The Barrens also borders such frequently travelled zones as starting zones of Durotar and Mulgore, step-up zones like Ashenvale Forest, Stonetalon Mountains, and Thousand Needles, and the level 35-45 zone of Dustwallow Marsh."

WoW Ten Ton Hammer's Guide to Blackwing Lair contains everything you
need to know about this infamous dungeon to succeed. From boss enemies
to their minions, we have everything covered. Tactics, diagrams, and

tactics for enemies that are giving you difficulty, our guide can
    help!

"At the start of the third stage the entire raid needs to move to the
north corner. The Dragons and Orcs that were previously attempting to
stop you will flee and Razorgore will begin attacking the last person
who had him mind controlled. He should be moved to the southwest
corner (where you buffed) to be tanked while the Rogues move to his
side and an off-tank stays behind him building aggro."

  • Paladin How To

We've gone through our Paladin Class Guide and updated a lot of
the information from the words of seasoned Paladins. Included in the
updates is a few brand new talent builds (both PvP, PvE, and leveling
builds), updated information on the best way to utilize your Paladin,
all about Paladin U.I.s, and much more!

"In solo PvE, combat should start with using Judgement of Crusader
(using Seal of the Crusader then judging it). Then use your combat
seal (Seal of Righteousness or Seal of Command) and swing your weapon
at the enemy! Depending on how well your mana holds, judge your combat
seal and reapply. You'll need to experiment with it to see how often
you can judge a seal while not spending all of your mana."

Learn more about Paladins in this helpful guide beought to you by WoW Ten Ton Hammer.
