Neverwinter is an online action RPG developed by Cryptic Studios and based on the 4th Edition rule-set of Dungeons & Dragons. The story of the new Neverwinter game will tie into a trilogy of books being written by best-selling fantasy author R.A. Salvatore. Book one in the trilogy, Gauntlgrym, is scheduled to release on October 5th, 2010.

Set years in the future of the Forgotten Realms campaign, Neverwinter will allow players to choose from five classic D&D classes and team up with other players or computer controlled allies to form five-person groups. Players will also be able to craft their own storylines and quests using the game's user-friendly content generation system.
