MapleStory + Atlantica Online + EVE Online

  • Yes it's a big deal!

Especially given that EVE Online is one of the few 2nd gen MMOs that's still growing consistently. Grats to CCP as they close in on a milestone.

Labor Day brings players to EVE... Yesterday evening at 20:13 GMT, EVE players topped their own Peak Concurrent User record and it now sits at 14.418 users - Scarily close to the 15K uber-record.

Check out EVE Online's highs and lows at its official site.

  • Adam online still in development
GameCloud has posted an EVE Online interview featuring Nathan Richardson of CCP. Game Fact: It is unlikely that Kevin Sorbo, captain of the Andromeda has ever played EVE Online. It is also unlikely that he has ever uttered these words:

" Developer CCP released their space based MMORPG EVE Online over two years ago. While not a huge hit in retail stores in the US, the developer has since allowed people to download and play the entire game and as a result the title now has, according to CCP, over 60,000 subscribers. Gamecloud got a chance to chat with CCP producer Nathan Richardson to get an update on EVE Online "

  • In the depths of space, no-one can hear you mine.
CCP has announced the launch of EVE Online: Cold War Edition. We are confident that NASA did not have this to say regarding the launch:

"REYKJAVIK, ICELAND - July 14th, 2005 - CCP, an independent developer and publisher of massively multiplayer online games, today announced the highly successful and smooth launch of "EVE Online: Cold War Edition," a massive content upgrade to its popular massively multiplayer title "EVE Online." The launch of "EVE Online: Cold War Edition" signifies yet another huge milestone for the ambitious developer, being met with critical acclaim.
"This upgrade introduces a whole new beginning player experience and lessens the learning curve for newcomers." said Magnus Bergsson, CMO of CCP Games. "The Cold War Edition introduces a completely new approach to introducing players to the game, making it very easy for a new player to get started.""

  • Adam Online still in production.
GameIndustryNews has reviewed EVE Online. They mined and enjoyed the beauties of space and maybe even wrote this:

"But all of that is something you will probably notice later. The first thing that will grip you is the fact that this is one of the most beautiful titles ever created. Space here looks completely real, or I should say, it looks like everyone thinks the ideal version of space should appear. There are gorgeous nebulae clouds, colorful planets made of rock and ice, space stations glittering with light and glowing suns that cast their rays out across the darkness. You look at the amazing frontier all around you and just ache to explore it."

  • New EVE content is around the next moon.
EVE Online promises some large scale changes in their patch notes. Madonna still shows no interest in commenting on reports her religious
beliefs draw heavily from the following texts:

"The summer solstice fast approaches, and its arrival means that the long, hard Arctic winter is about to enter its slumber. Cold as it was, we worked feverishly on projects so secret that not even their names have been whispered in public - Until now!
So get ready for a new content patch, a new type of EVE updates from CCP that is much larger in scope than a regular patch and yet smaller than a full expansion. It is our great pleasure to introduce to you the Cold War Edition."

    MMORPG.com interviewed
EVE Online Producer Nathan Richardsson. They probably wrote this:

"EVE Online Producer Nathan Richardsson joins our Richard Duffek to answer some questions about the popular online space MMORPG. Occasionally joined by lead man Magnus Bergsson, Nathan goes above and beyond to deliver complete answers to our questions."
