SMITE is developed by Hi-Rez Studios, the developer of Tribes: Ascend and Global Agenda. SMITE is an arena-based combat game in which players choose from one of several mythical gods to do battle in 5 vs 5 arena combat similar to traditional DotA gameplay. At launch, SMITE will be free-to-play and provides free players with five playable gods to choose from - Ra, Kali, Ymir, Sun WuKong, and Artemis. Additional gods can be unlocked through gameplay or with microtransactions.
