As the first game NetDevil ever produced, Jumpgate was in many ways a huge success and a disappointment. While NetDevil was ecstatic on releasing a game with a publisher as mighty as NCsoft, they'd also hoped to create a game that the general populace could play. Now nearly a decade after the original Jumpgate was conceived, the crew at NetDevil is putting together a complete renovation of the old title and have named it Jumpgate Evolution.

While there hasn't been a lot of details unveiled about the upcoming title, there are a few general concepts that are known. Jumpgate Evolution will be a science-fiction based, 3D space combat simulator with MMOG elements like ship/character advancement and a persistent online world. It seems fairly certain that there will be a PvP/dog-fight element to the game along with a large portion of PvE sort of experiences. Players will still be able to engage in other activities outside of combat, but this information has yet to be give its due details. NetDevil has also assured many members of the press that they're whole-heartedly communicating with previous players of the original Jumpgate to make sure they're happy with the changes that are being made to the game and inviting them to help with the development process of the game's next step.
