Jumpgate Evolution + World of Warcraft

  • Topic of the Week: Hacking Guilds, Corrupted Cheaters, Wrathful Blizzard

The latest topic of the week discusses the rather taboo subject of hacking, cheating, and defying the wrathful Blizzard. Don't get me wrong, there is no supporting of that here, but we are discussing the consequences, reaction, and much more related to the dastardly crimes against Azeroth!

"A hot topic in the WoW community lately has been those who wish to cheat, hack, and bypass various mechanics in WoW. Raiding members of entire guilds have been banned recently for an exploit that allowed them to skip AQ40 content. Posters on various cheat related boards find their accounts temporarily suspended if their in-game name shows up, and even some cheaters have had the police called to them for threatening to off themselves if their accounts aren't re-opened."

  • Hit or Miss?

GamerZines has posted their preview of the Burning Crusades. You'll want to see what they have to say about the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion.

World of Warcraft is quite popular, apparently. So the developers have this expansion pack that a few people will probably be interested in.

OK, we can't type any more with a straight face. The Burning Crusade is of course the most hotly anticipated expansion to the unbelievably huge World of Warcraft. Raising the level cap to 70, introducing new races, new quests, new areas and so much more, The Burning Crusade is so close and yet so achingly far away still.

Aurael explores the Caverns of Time in her 4th beta journal installment!

“The same Brood of Nozdormu dragons are at the entrance, but they do not fly along, blocking the road anymore. They sit at the edges of the entrance area and I was not attacked by them as I traveled along the road.”

  • Burning Crusade Uncovered

IGN has posted a preview of Wow's upcoming expansion, Burning Crusades.

With the level cap being raised from 60 to 70, you can forget you have to eat actual food all over again. With the grind to 70 likely to take at least a couple weeks for even the most hardcore players, it's quite exceptional that Blizzard has managed to keep it feeling fresh. This is in no small part thanks to many creative new talents, special abilities and spells that you gain as you progress.

Read the rest of the preview and then head over to our WoW Ten Ton Hammer Community site to read our take on this expansion.

  • Burning Crusade Honor Changes

A lots changing with the honor system and we have the low-down on what's up! We've gone through the new arenas and PvP system from the beta and have reported back on how all of the new changes work! We've also taken a quick look at the new arenas.

"In the new system, you gain honor like before (killing players, doing battleground tasks, etc.) but instead of it being compared to others it is simply given to you as a currency. Honor points can be gained then spent to purchase the special rewards now located in the officer shop."

  • Aurael's Beta Journal #3: Screenshots Galore

Have you ever wondered where Death's Door or the mysterious Area 52 is located? Want to know what happens when a level 60 gets it in her head to scout out uncharted areas in the Burning Crusade beta? Find the answers in Aurael's Beta Journal #3!

“I had taken the road from the Dead Mire and after evading attack (serpentine! serpentine!) from several vicious animals, I came to a fork in the road. The signpost was not very reassuring. My choices were The Circle of Blood, Thunderlord Village, Mok'Nathal Village or Sylvanaar. Naturally, I took the one that sounded the safest--Sylvanaar. It was a stroke of luck. Sylvanaar is the alliance village in this area.”

  • Empire Warrior Priest, & Chaos Chosen Career Pages

Today we have two new careers up in our Warhammer Career list; the Warrior Priest & The Chaos Chosen. Both of these classes have only have basic information and images released, but we have our "Ten Ton Thoughts" on the matter up along with the associated images.

If you like Sigmar and fine killing times; the Warrior Priest is for you. Probably the closest Warhammer equivalent to the Paladin, the Warrior Priest is a holy fighter of the Empire god Sigmar.
