State of Decay (previously codenamed Class3) is the first title and an introductory tie-in to Undead Labs' upcoming "online world game" codenamed Class4. State of Decay is a cooperative zombie shooter that will introduce players to the world that will become Class4 and will feature physics-based gameplay, destructible environments and player-controlled buildings. The game is an open world sandbox that develops in real-time and will not only challenge players with hoards of flesh-eating zombies, but with surviving in a post-apocalyptic world where disease can be fatal and supplies can be rare.

State of Decay was originally planned as an Xbox exclusive, but Undead Labs announced in July 2012 that it will also be available for the PC.
