  • Ever want to just slay an orc or two?
LotRO's newest screenshot might just fuel that urge. This game looks great, and if you don't believe me...

"[Ed. Note: I was going to paste the UUCode for the image here, since there's no description. But since very few of us can down UUCode straight, without a viewer of some sort, I figured you might better enjoy clicking on the link below for instant visual gratification.]"

  • Dragon Glamour Photos.
TheTheGame has posted some Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach screenshots. Courtney Love was unavailable for comment, but are relatively sure that she is part dragon. We are also relatively sure that she has never said the following:

" "Dungeons & Dragons Online" will let players travel alone or in parties as they explore the seemingly endless dungeon complexes found beneath the world. Through the dungeons, players will engage in physical and magical combat with hideous foes straight from the pages of the "Monster Manual"(TM) rulebook. "

  • Evil, dirty, living in the city, and we don't mean the roaches in your local burger joint.
Pro-G has some new City of Villains screenshots for your viewing pleasure. Rob Zombie, though not undead himself did sing Living Dead Girl. He did not, however, sing the following:

"This is a test of the emergency description system. In the event that the guys at Pro-G had taken 10 seconds out of their lives to post descriptions of the City of Villains screenshots mentioned above you would have read them here. Remember, this is only a test. In the event of a true emergency we would be hiding under our desks."

  • Shiny pictures of a game you can't play.
Turbine has posted some fancy new screenshots from Lord of the Rings Online. We are confident that Sean Astin did not, in fact, say the following:

" This is a test of the emergency description system. Had Turbine actually taken 20 seconds to post a description of their new screenshots you would have read it here. Remember, this is only a test. "

  • Bulldozers with bazookas.
MMORPG has posted some new Auto Assault screenshots. NetDevils and NetAngels clashed in the wastes for the fourth time in five days. The NetGods didn't have this to day:

" We move the weekly series to Thursdays, as we continue with part two of four: Highways. Below are four exclusive images directly from NetDevil that show off the game's highway system. "

  • Trailers With Torpedoes.
Gamespot has posted some Auto Assault screenshots. Tina Turner did not sing this, ever:

"This is a test of the emergency description system. In the case that GameSpot has actually taken 30 seconds to write anything at all about the screenshots you would have read it here."

  • Transports with Tesla Coils.
GamerGod has posted three new Auto Assault screenshots taken from the beta. NASCAR officials have vehemently denied that flame throwers will be allowed in upcoming races. They did not however comment on this:

"Today GamerGod.com has three more exclusive screen shots from the Auto Assault Beta!"

  • They threw a Warrior / Monk into Sorrow's Furnace and got... two new screenshots!

The Sorrow's Furnace Gallery at the official GW site has been expanded by two screenshots. Take a look at them to get more previews of the Ascended content to come.

    From GuildWars.com:
    New Screenshots - 04 August 2005

We're expanding the Sorrow's Furnace Gallery Page with another pair of screenshots from the Summer Update. One image displays the external depths of Grenth's Footprint just outside the entry to the mines. The second shows combat within the green-hued interior of one area of Sorrow's Furnace.

Find the shots here. [Thanks Maya!]

  • Pictures of tricked out cars, with guns.
GamerGod has posted some great Auto Assault screenshots. At 100 MPH with a flamethrower roaring away wouldn't the flames blow back onto your own car?:

"Check out the latest exclusive Auto Assault screen shots here at GamerGod! Today we are showing two images, and you will want to come back on Monday to see even more!"

  • Super Hero Paparazzi.
Boomtown has posted some new City of Heroes screenshots showing off the new powers. Super powers can be so bland. It's great that they made them look fancier:

"The upcoming fifth, free City of Heroes expansion titled Issue 5: Forest of Dread is hotly debated amongst the CoH gamers, since it's going to be the largest collective nerf (ie. downgrading) of powers ever seen in the history of the game. However, there is also good news: The expansion will add new power sets for blasters, controllers and defenders such as sonic blast and trick arrow."
