Gotham City Impostors is a downloadable multiplayer FPS game currently in development by Monolith Productions, best known for the F.E.A.R. series and, to a lesser extent, as the creators of The Matrix Online. The game will be played from the perspective of two teams comprised of characters dressed like DC Comics' Batman or the Joker.

The game will be playable by at least eight players simultaneously, though the full list of match types available for the game's launch has yet to be announced. Beyond standard FPS gameplay, players will be able to customize their costume and gadgets, and GCI will also include an advancement system, no doubt featuring plenty of unusual unlockables. In addition to traditional guns and melee weapons, players will be able to use other gadgets such as grappling hooks, glider wings, rollerstakes and more, each themed after something you'd be likely to find in the Batman universe.
