  • Gods & Heroes at SOE's Gamer Day

Though the development team behind Gods & Heroes is in polish
mode with no new breakthroughs to report announce since the advent of
the Nomad class and tinted armor last month, Ten Ton Hammer is on hand
to see the first public demo of the game's instancing system. The
Volcanic Vents, a level 15 instance, and the swampy Numidian Delta
were the focal point of Perpetual's showing at SOE Gamer Day, and Ten
Ton Hammer was on-hand to report!

  • An MMO that starts with a clean slate

Games Radar has posted this look at the upcoming Tabula Rasa. Keep reading to see what they think.

Drugs are good. Probably. Or maybe they’re not. Richard Garriott just can’t help making you think about this stuff. His fame was founded on the moral dilemmas of the Ultimas, the games that established the very framework of what we consider the modern PC RPG. You can draw a line from his early work, via Baldur’s Gate, to today’s greats such as Knights of the Old Republic and Neverwinter Nights 2. But Garriott no longer makes single-player RPGs.

But the soldiers are working 28-hour shifts, and the stolen stim-packs are their only way to keep on fighting. Shopping the dealer might appear to be the correct choice, but this is like 'Nam, baby. His clients, and your squadmates, are going to accuse you of being out of touch with the realities of this war all the way through the rest of the game.

  • A Look at Tabula Rasa

Worthplaying.com has weighed in with their impressions of the upcoming Tabula Rasa.

If you decide you didn't like your choices and want to go back a few steps, Tabula Rasa gives you the ability to clone your character, essentially saving a backup of him or her to disc so you can revert back to an earlier version. This allows you to change your character's classes, or even his or her name and gender.

  • Upcoming MMO brings sci-fi shooting to the online role-playing scene

Games Radar has posted a preview of Tabula Rasa complete with screenshots!

We watched as Garriott ran us through a mission - to infiltrate and destroy a Bane lab that’s reanimating corpses of fallen humans - highlighting some of the ways Tabula Rasa tries to distance itself from the traditionally UI-driven combat in most MMOs. “You’ll notice that there’s no cursor floating about…” said Garriott, as a space marine-like soldier took down several alien enemies with concentrated bursts of rifle fire.

  • Tabula Rasa First Look

Shacknews posted a preview of the upcoming Tabula Rasa on Friday. Keep reading to see what they think...

I have never played a game from the Ultima series, but I have read about them, and heard many stories of the famous assassination of Lord British. And yet there he was: Sharply dressed, well groomed, and appearing quite confident as he enthusiastically (despite nearing the end of a seven hour shift) presented NCsoft and Destination Games' new science fiction MMORPG, Tabula Rasa. In many ways the title is appropriate, as the game has seen significant changes over the course of development.

  • The enemy of my enemy, is my friend

Hookedgamers.com has posted a preview of the upcoming Tabula Rasa. Keep reading to see if they think this will be a successful game, or a waste of time.

Tabula Rasa: Latin for clean slate. That is all we were to the alien race known only as the Bane, a slate to be wiped clean from our native homeworld. In the upcoming high science fiction Tabula Rasa, you are a lone soldier in the Army of the Allied Free Sentients and your battle for your very existence is about to begin.
