RuneScape launched its new Clan Support update yesterday, allowing players to create and administer their clans for the first time in the game. The update also adds two new chat channels for players to advertise their clans and communicate with clan members. Additionally, Clan Camp has been added as a hub for clans to socialize, recruit members and plan events.
The new update also includes the "Rated Clan Wars" feature, which allows clans to challenge each other in battle and be rated for their activity. If you need a page to show off your clan and achievements, you'll also have the option of using one of RuneScape's new clan web pages, which lists all clan members, high scores, stats and more.
Since the deployment of the update yesterday, more than 250,000 players joined a clan and over 33,000 new clans have been created. Check out the official press release after the break.
