EverQuest Online Adventures (abbreviated EQOA) is a fantasy-based massively multiplayer online roleplaying game for the Playstation 2 console system. Played online, EQOA was quite different than its original namesake, EverQuest, in that there was no keyboard involved with the controlling of characters, making the game very different. Although the PS2 controller had a variety of buttons that could be used for various spells and abilities, it paled in comparison with the intricate UIs developed for EQ.
EQOA is set in the world of Norrath five hundred years prior to the events occurring in the original EverQuest. The land is a familiar place to anyone who has played the original EQ. The gameplay is similar to EQ in its focus on character development, player versus environment combat, quests, exploration, grouping, and socializing.
There are fifteen playable classes, and ten races. Classes include Cleric, Druid, Shaman, Enchanter, Wizard, Alchemist, Necromancer, Magician, Bard, Ranger, Rogue, Monk, Paladin, Shadowknight, and Warrior. Races consist of Dwarves, Elves, Dark Elves, Human (Eastern and Western), Gnome, Troll, Ogre, Barbarian, Erudite, and Halfling.
