Earth Eternal is a 3D MMORPG developed by Iron Realms Entertainment. In their FAQ, the developers describe Earth Eternal as, "classic in the best sense of the word. If you've played Dungeons & Dragons, or Runescape, or World of Warcraft, you will find it very familiar, though with some of our own unique twists." Indeed, Earth Eternal even has classes - a similarity to the three aforementioned games - which are: Warrior, Mage, Druid, and Sneak. However, you can learn abilities in other classes, just not as quickly.

Earth Eternal takes place on a world, much like our own Earth, but with striking differences. First and foremost, most of the races in Earth Eternal are anthropomorphic...animal people. With everything from gecko-men to sheep-people, Earth Eternal looks to be the perfect place for those individuals who want to she their human clothing for something different.

Earth Eternal shut down services in September 2010 following financial problems that resulted in the layoff of the Sparkplay Media staff. In April 2011, the Earth Eternal Twitter informed the community that the game had been purchased by Japanese developer Sankando and is planned to be re-launched in Japan under the name of Ikimonogatari. North American players were once again able to log into the game as Earth Eternal in July 2011. Unfortunately, in November 2011, the game was once again cancelled following an announcement on the Earth Eternal Facebook page.
