FusionFall + World of Warcraft + Pirates of the Burning Sea + Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning + Lord of the Rings Online + Age of Conan: Unchained Features, Guides, and more

  • Middle Earth has so many fascinating places to visit. The world has a very rich environment. With that said, Turbine has released a new point of interest, Trestlebridge

Adventurers traveling north from the Bree-land along the mostly-abandoned Greenway will encounter a truly formidable barrier to further northerly travel: the dark cleft of Cirith Núr. Knifing between the North Downs and the southern regions of the shadowed and mysterious lands of Angmar, this dark cleft once held waters flowing out of Emyn Uial in the West. Over the ages, this mighty river has since receded, leaving only the sharp cliff edges and the uncertain depths below.

As a side note, the concept art that they have to go with the description is absolutely gorgeous!

  • I always look forward to updates on the Age of Conan site. I believe in the Funcom developers. AO may not have been the most popular game but it was impressive in it's depth of design and it's graphical beauty when it released. I think that Age of Conan will be similiar.

Anyway, they've put up a new gameplay preview. Ranged Combat

ost of the ranged combat stances see the action shift into a kind of first person view. The camera zooms into an over the shoulder or first person view and displays a targeting crosshairs. Here you aim with your weapon, and fire towards advancing opponents much like you might find in a FPS game (but not quite as fast-paced). This serves to try and bring the player "there", into the action, and into the world.

  • Boomjack touched on this in his Loading... this morning. I wanted to throw my own two cents in because.. well if you know me, you know I'm extremely opinionated. The problem?

The Chinese userbase reports widespread delays of over an hour when logging into the game and getting a server list, and the last straw seems to have been complete server outages that disrupted the endgame of a large-scale raid involving nearly 1,000 players.

Ok now, let's talk about how this would affect world relations, game economy and my general state of panic.

    1. Does Blizzard realize that it's not a good thing to piss China off? Can we say one billion angry people with nuclear weapons? C'mon, we're already on spongey turf with them as it is.

    2. Dare I say it? Gold farming cut in half? The economy is in dire straights!

In all seriousness, Blizzard does have new hardware in the works so we need to be patient. On the other hand, I can understand their angst. I sat in a mere five minute queue last night trying to get into Sen'jin and nearly lost my mind. What is going on in the minds of the Blizzard execs? Who can say? We can't get anyone to comment on the issues.

Check out our World of Warcraft community while you're waiting for the servers to come up.

  • The humans, dwarves, and high elves of Warhammer Online!

As things begin to pickup around the Warhammer Online Community; we here at TenTonHammer have begun producing content. For the first piece of content, we have the Racial Overview pages for three of the main races in Warhammer Online.

Included in this update is information on the High Elves, the Dwarves, and the Humans of the Empire. A basic overview on the current situation of the race and their stance towards the other races is provided. As time goes on, we will be adding all of the Races to our Racial section, as well as adding additional information to what is already present.

You can find our Warhammer racial information page at Warhammer - TenTonHammer.

  • The Dwarves of Middle-earth

If you're planning to play a sturdy and stalwart dwarf when Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Angmar launches later this year, then you'll want to check out our guide to the dwarf race.

The dwarves of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth are beings of short stature and stocky build. Dwarf males always sport long beards. (Whether dwarf females always wear beards is a matter of some speculation and debate.) Dwarves mine precious metals throughout Middle-earth and are known as skilled stoneworkers and smiths. Their gruff appearance and demeanor belies their ability for superb craftsmanship.
