Empire of Sports is an MMOG being developed by a Swiss-based team in an effort to pin down the massively multiplayer sports marketplace. Empire of Sports allows players to create and control their own personal avatar in a variety of sporting events, including tennis, basketball, skiing and a series of training/fitness games all of which will be available at launch. Although AI is available for players who do not have their own team, players will get the most fun and thrills out of playing games against living, breathing opponents.

According to the developers at Empire of Sports, as you play through the game your avatar will continually advance, becoming stronger, faster, and better able to challenge your toughest rivals. In EoS, you'll be able to create your own team (much like a guild) and play in full-blown sporting events - not just little mini-games!

Aiming for a 3+ PEGI rating, Empire of Sports plans on being playable on systems that aren't extremely high-end. They hope to release at the end of 2007.
