In preparation for the the launch of EverQuest's 14th expansion, Secrets of Faydwer, Sony Online Entertainment has a thrilling in-game event planned for Monday, November 12. Ralsu brings us the preview of that event and the contents of the expansion that will launch the next day.

Before players can dream of confronting the likes of the four dragons of the apocalypse (my terms for them), they'll need to take on some of the challenges imposed by Meldrath.

Gods & Heroes at SOE's Gamer Day

Though the development team behind Gods & Heroes is in polish
mode with no new breakthroughs to report announce since the advent of
the Nomad class and tinted armor last month, Ten Ton Hammer is on hand
to see the first public demo of the game's instancing system. The
Volcanic Vents, a level 15 instance, and the swampy Numidian Delta
were the focal point of Perpetual's showing at SOE Gamer Day, and Ten
Ton Hammer was on-hand to report!

EQ: Depths of Darkhollow Preview at IGN

First out of the gate after release, IGN has posted a Preview of EverQuest: Depths of Darkhollow, the 10th expansion for the game. When asked about EverQuest, Vin Diesel reminisced about soloing Lord Nagafen two days after release and muttered the following:

" DoD has six new static zones -- Corathus Creep, The Undershore, Stoneroot Falls, The Ruins of Illsalin, Dreadspire Keep and The Hive - and 60 missions, similar to the mission system in the last expansion, Dragons of Norrath. Like the last three expansions, it's for player levels 45 and up and will include raids even harder than the ones currently in the game, some of which are undefeated. "
