  • Hot Fix. Sort Of.

A note on the Camelot Herald gives a look at a needed change for the game... maybe?

The housing consignment merchant that can be bought with bounty points will no longer become sellable if placed on a porch and then picked up.

We're doing this for now because, while the idea of making bounty points equivalent to gold is not necessarily bad, it is something we should probably talk about before inflicting on the live game. We're going to discuss the concept, and get back to you. In the meantime, the above note is now live.

Stay tuned for more information as we get it.

  • Testing Tool NPCs - Off For Now

The Camelot Herald has been updated with this Dev note today...

We recently put some new NPCs on Pendragon to help people test more efficiently. These NPCs log each transaction, which is great when the only people using the tools are Team Leads and developers. The sheer number of logs being generated this weekend is destabilizing the Pendragon server. We've turned them off for now, and we'll have them back on Monday after we make a few adjustments. Sorry for the inconvenience, Pendies.

  • I Wonder What Happens When They Hit 2.0?
Mythic has released a new patch onto their Pedragon test server. Here are some juicy details:

In this version we plan on focusing significantly on revamping the archery system. The team is currently in the internal implementation phase for the archery revamp, but it is not yet ready for Pendragon testing. The new archery system will be rolled to Pendragon in the next few 1.88 versions.

Back in the day, archers were one of the first classes to get revamped. And now, they have come full circle.

  • Vista, Camelot, and You

The Camelot Herald has a post up that shares information with players regarding Vista...

Just a warning - Camelot is not Vista-compliant. If you upgrade to Vista at this time, you may have trouble playing. We're working with all the appropriate parties to try and resolve this issue as quickly as we can, but if you're concerned, you should hold off on installing Vista until I can give you more information. Thanks, all.

  • Did You Resolve To Change Careers This Year?

According to The Camelot Herald, EA is looking for some new ground floor employees. Could this be your chance to get your foot in the door?

Promotion can be very fast at the rate this company is growing, and we really need solid, hardworking people with a creative streak and a sense of humor. Please go to this link (http://jobs.ea.com/pljb/ElectronicArts/United_States/applicant/index.jsp), choose "Fairfax, VA" and then "Customer Supp Rep I" for the chance to get in on the ground floor, and if you've got the chops, to move to world building, storytelling, or even design. I can't seem to convince the EA Jobs site to let me link directly to the gig in question, so treat this as your first test.

    Good luck!
