World of Warcraft + Vanguard: Saga of Heroes Features

  • Here Come the Noobs! (Be Nice to 'Em!)

This week, Dalmarus discusses the need to be helpful to new players and how the recent reactivation of old accounts has made this more important than ever.

It grates on my nerves to no end that there are a number of people that have come back (or are logging into the game for the first time) and are asking honest questions for a bit of assistance, just to be answered by some jackass that thinks they're humorous or is just plain rude.

  • Better than the Jelly of the Month Club!

This week Dalmarus, our Vanguard community manager, continues in the holiday spirit and brings a burning question that all your friends, family, and significant others need to stand up and take notice of: what cool Vanguard-related gift did you get (or hope to get) this year?

As much as my wife and parents will kill me for saying this (so don't believe the note saying I've packed up and moved away!), this was absolutely the coolest gift I received this year!

  • That's what you get for playing a night elf...

In this weeks editorial WoW community manager Byron "Messiah" Mudry looks at something that annoys many Alliance players and makes Horde players rejoice. As he has been drawn into the Player versus Player (PvP) aspect of World of Warcraft (WoW) lately, he has come to see how the differences between the two factions play out. In this editorial, he takes a look at the differences (as he sees them), and how they translate to Horde winning the vast majority of battlegrounds.

  • This week, Dalmarus takes time to give us a special "end of year" newsletter. In it, he takes a look back at where the game was, where it is now, and where it hopes to go in the future.

The most exciting thing on the developer’s plate this year for me though? The introduction of an Alternate Abilities (AA) system.

  • Glorian in excelsis deo!

Dalmarus concludes the Festival of Glorian report with tales of masks, candies, and decorations. While he may have uncovered a wide variety of goodies, there are more to be found. Do you have what it takes to uncover the secrets of the Festival?

If you have a tree, you are also legally obligated to place a bunch of boxes under them as well. They don't have to actually have anything in them, mind you, but they have to be covered in some hideous wrapping paper.

  • This is a stick up! Well, no, not really...but give me that level 70 raid gear!

In this week's editorial Ten Ton Hammer WoW community manager, Byron "Messiah" Mudry, discusses another issue that has come up recently in many guilds--another etiquette issue; namely the use of the new guild bank feature in WoW.  Messiah looks at some of the issues around guild banks and suggests rules to address them.

  • I want it all! Now!

In this week's newsletter, Dalmarus discusses the absurd idea that players insist on instant fixes and demands that the game be made perfect for them immediately. Until then, no one is allowed to sleep!

This game wasn’t built on your father’s Commodore 64, and saying the game as it was handed to SOE was “faulty” is the biggest understatement of the year.

  •  When good mods go bad...or just old.

Xerin has spoken over at Heal Plz about the ever increasing lack of updated U.I. mods and the benefit for using mostly mods with an Ace2 backend. If you're sad that Titan Panel hasn't been updated in a while then this blog entry has many helpful suggestions to cure your "this mod is out of date" woes.
