  • More Thoughts On Where To Adventure

In our quest to have the most useful zone guide out there, we have even more updates today! Today we look at several level 41-50 zones and instances. Updates to The Blasted Lands, The Hinterlands, Searing Gorge, Uldaman and Zul'Farrak have all just been uploaded to our Where to Adventure Guide.

Formerly part of the Black Morass swamp, the Blasted lands is the crater that remains from when Medivh opened the Dark Portal. Filled with demons and corrupted wildlife, the Blasted Lands are a high level zone. The zone has both a Horde and an Alliance stronghold, called Dreadmaul Hold and Nethergarde Keep respectively. To the far south is the Tainted Scar and in the south east is the Dark Portal. The whole zone is very desolate featuring nothing much more than red rock desert and mountains.

  • The Burning Crusades Brings New Professtions

On the official World of Warcraft site, an article has been posted detailing one of the new professions expected to be included in the forthcoming expansion, The Burning Crusades. Get a look at Jewelcrafting...

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade will introduce a lot of new features to expand the game in many interesting and fun ways. One of these additions is the introduction of a new profession: jewelcrafting.

Jewelcrafters learn the art of creating beautiful jewelry and trinkets from metals and rare gems. By processing the raw ore mined from the various deposits and mineral veins, jewelcrafters can extract gems from the ore which they can then use for their craft. Although miners sometimes find gems while gathering ore, jewelcrafters mostly rely on their prospecting skills to get more of the precious stones.

Find out more about this profession and let us know what you think on our forums at WoW Ten Ton Hammer!

  • Actiontrip Takes a Look at The Burning Crusades

Actiontrip.com posted a preview of WoW's forthcoming expansion, The Burning Crusades. Did they like what they saw or think that it needs to head back to the drawing board? Keep reading to find out.

It goes without saying, but yes, World of Warcraft is the most successful MMORPG of all time. It is the 800-lb gorilla of MMORPGs, but what’s striking is that WoW is the first game to truly bridge the gap between hardcore gamers and the mainstream crowds. Blizzard’s giant cash cow is becoming a part of popular culture, supplanting The Sims as the “it” game of choice for both gamers and non-gamers alike.

Head over to Actiontrip.com to read the rest of the preview. Don't forget to visit WoW Ten Ton Hammer for all your latest WoW news and information!

start? What ideas would you choose from? For the first article of the month
here at Ten Ton Hammer, I, Memnok, have been assigned the task of creating and

they will not come into fruition! I hope that my ideas might give everyone a
small chuckle, maybe even raise an eyebrow or two, or even make some people
scratch their chins and say, “Hey, that’s not a bad idea!” Enjoy!

  • Wowee... a WoW Wii?

This just in from the ravenous Blizzard speculation department, Blizzard has job postings announcing a need for a console game producer. What you see below is the barest scintilla of the number of frantic posts about this announcement. I only hope that North Korea doesn't choose to launch on the day that an official Blizzard announcement comes; Japan probably won't hear the emergency broadcast about incoming scuds over the fanboi din.

While rumors of work on a console version of World of Warcraft remain just that, the job post mentions that Blizzard is looking for an experienced Senior Producer "with a proven track record of producing high quality console games." In addition, under "Plusses" Blizzard mentions that it would be better for the candidate to have "Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii production experience."

Someone from Blizzard should write a book on how to create hype by not saying a thing and letting the playerbase writhe like caffeinated worms. It would be a very short book.

Read on at GameDaily, or hold your ears and wait till something concrete comes out. Your pick.
