  • Sprawl's Scrawl - First Impressions of Closed Beta

WoW Vault has posted a preview of WoW's upcoming expansion, The Burning Crusade. This preview is full of impressions from closed beta, so don't miss out!

One of the first things you notice upon logging into Burning Crusade beta is a number of quick popup boxes that indict that the system is scanning for viruses and the like. It's good to see that Blizzard is taking active steps at keeping a blacklist of known exploits. Once again the new player is presented with a view of the Dark Portal, this time from the Outland side. At this point, if you haven't upgraded your account with a key, do not expect to login.

  • What is Outlands like? What are the two new race areas like? How is the new loot?

Voodoo Extreame has a preview to answer all of these questions.

The Burning Crusade closed beta is finally out, and after much gnashing of teeth, I have stopped playing long enough to be able to write up some "hands on" impressions of the game. I do not want to bore you all with the details of every little minute detail of what has gone into The Burning Crusade expansion pack, and the truth is, a lot of things have been beat to death in other previews.

  • World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Updated Hands-On - The Two New Races

GameSpot has taken the time to look at the blood elf and draenei characters that will appear in the upcoming expansion The Burning Crusade.

Thousands of players from around the globe log into the game daily, and nightly (and daily, and nightly, and daily, and nightly) to play as a wizard, warrior, or thief in the colorful Warcraft fantasy universe. And (hopefully) later this year, the studio will release The Burning Crusade, the expansion pack for the game which will add plenty of high-level content for veterans as well as two new playable fantasy races to build new characters with. We took the opportunity to get in-depth with the two new races, the fanatical blood elves of the monstrous Horde faction and the mystical draenei characters of the noble Alliance.

  • Iceland’s one-and-only games developer have other plans for their award-winning online space adventure

That is what Stargamer aims to find out about in their chat with Nathan Richardsson.

With over 145,000 paying customers EVE may not have the numbers to compare with World of Warcraft, but given the output of content and the level of communication with the player base, CCP appear keen to explore an unceasing stream of ideas to develop EVE further, and not just in-game: With a collectable card game about to hit the shelves, novels being typed up and a thriving online store selling items from T-shirts to mugs and even socks, EVE’s is a universe that clearly has frontiers that reach beyond its own single-sharded universe – a universe that has, as I write this, over 30,000 people currently trading, fighting and scheming within. And that’s not including the Chinese...

  • A Look at Dwarves

RPG Vault has the next peek at the upcoming Darkfall. This peek gives us a look at Dwarves. Included in the write up are also three new screenshots.

    The Dwarves of Dvergheim

Like axe-bristling avalanches, dwarven legions surge across Agon's battlefields, neither wavering nor resting until victory is secured. At any stage in any battle, no matter how ridiculous the odds may be, dwarves believe - with unblinking certainty - that they will prevail through superior skill, rock-hewn strength and indomitable bravery.

  • Shack News Chats with Mafnus Bergsson

ShackNews has updated their site with this interview which covers many topics including the recent investment banking scam.

EVE Online is a pretty distinct MMO in that it focuses on complex systems and open-ended gameplay rather than level grinding. While it doesn't have an enormous mainstream userbase like other games in the genre, it has attracted a solid population of predominantly hardcore gamers. The game has been growing steadily since its launch three years ago and it's been quite succesful for independent Iceland-based developer CCP. Earlier this week I had a chance to sit down with the developer's CMO, Magnus Bergsson, at the Nordic Game event held in Malmo, Sweden.

  • Frank Pearce Chats About The Burning Crusade

CVG.com has updated their site with an interview with Blizzard's Frank Pearce, Senior VP of Product Development. Keep reading to get a peek at the upcoming expansion, The Burning Crusade.

World of Warcraft fans are excitedly spitting frothy expulsions in anticipation of The Burning Crusade, Blizzard's first expansion for its world-dominating MMORPG. The Burning Crusade should be with us November/December and Blizzard was recently poking the expansion in the eyes of thoroughly impressed games journalists here in Old Blighty. Naturally, we took the opportunity to grill the developer on its latest addition to the WoW world - answering questions, Frank Pearce, Senior VP of product development at Blizzard.

  • CVG joins Blizzard's senior VP Frank Pearce for an in-depth look at the new races and issues from the outstanding expansion!

CVG has posted this preview of World of Warcrafts's upcoming expansion, The Burning Crusade. Find out what they learned while Frank Pearce gives them a test run of the game.

Aesthetically, whatkind of World Of Warcraft character do you go for? Do you like the big, no-nonsense, tough-guy orcs and taurens - the kind that could splinter bones with their little fingers and don't get invited to dinner parties? Maybe you don't like straying too far from the norm and prefer humans. Sensible, dependable, no unnecessary horns, lovely little bit of Chaucerian countryside and scones for tea. Perhaps you prefer something a bit nicer to look at, a lithe female night-elf with a chain-mail bikini and a generous nature when it comes to giving out lap-dances?

  • TrustedReviews Offers a Preview

World of Warcraft's upcoming expansion, The Burning Crusade is the subject of the latest update on TrustedReviews site. They offer a preview today that gives their view of the expansion.

Unless you’ve been living in a gaming vacuum for the past couple of years, you will have heard of World of Warcraft. To call WoW a phenomenon is an understatement of epic proportions, and to be honest I don’t think that anyone, Blizzard included, realised just how massive this game was going to be. There are always stories in the media about obsessive gamers that lose whole weekends, or even weeks to their favourite game, but WoW took this sickness to another level!

Get clicking to find out how they scored this preview! Do you agree with their postion? Let us know in the WoW Ten Ton Hammer forums today.
