World of Warcraft + Wurm Online + Wrath of the Lich King Features

  • New Preview

Atomicgamer took some time to give us their thoughts on the upcoming Burning Crusades expansion to World of Warcraft.

And the real-life atmosphere surrounding this expansion is a little different than what we saw two years ago when WoW was only just released. Gamers are rabidly anticipating the chance to go out, explore this new world of Outland, and level up their characters to the new maximum level: 70. But TBC isn't only made for the people who "raid" every single night, getting newer and more powerful gear. They've added two new races to the game: the Alliance gets the beefy Draenai race who have crash-landed on the planet of Azeroth due to the Burning Legion's arrival, and the Blood Elves are a new Horde race that used to once be the High Elves.

  • Burning Crusade Preview #2

FiringSquad has posted their second look at the upcoming Burning Crusade expansion for World of Warcraft.

First off, the entry to the new areas of the game is through the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands. Now, instead of having the whole area infested with demons, there's a base camp for the Alliance and Horde. Of course, the other side of that gate is where all the new content lays waiting. Once you go through that gate, the new adventure begins.

  • Maestro of 'Warcraft' on 'directing' players

The Hollywood Reporter posted an interview with Blizzard's VP of Game Design, Rob Pardo.

In the two years since "WoW" was released in November, 2004, the game has managed to nab a 53% world market share, which translates to well over $1 billion in revenue. As Blizzard's vp of game design, Rob Pardo is the man ultimately responsible for making it happen. Which is why, this year, "Time" magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

  • Hit or Miss?

GamerZines has posted their preview of the Burning Crusades. You'll want to see what they have to say about the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion.

World of Warcraft is quite popular, apparently. So the developers have this expansion pack that a few people will probably be interested in.

OK, we can't type any more with a straight face. The Burning Crusade is of course the most hotly anticipated expansion to the unbelievably huge World of Warcraft. Raising the level cap to 70, introducing new races, new quests, new areas and so much more, The Burning Crusade is so close and yet so achingly far away still.

  • Burning Crusade Uncovered

IGN has posted a preview of Wow's upcoming expansion, Burning Crusades.

With the level cap being raised from 60 to 70, you can forget you have to eat actual food all over again. With the grind to 70 likely to take at least a couple weeks for even the most hardcore players, it's quite exceptional that Blizzard has managed to keep it feeling fresh. This is in no small part thanks to many creative new talents, special abilities and spells that you gain as you progress.

  • Hands On Impressions of Burning Crusade

Pro-G has posted their hands on impressions of the Burning Crusades. Keep reading to see what they think of the upcoming expansion to World of Warcraft.

The Burning Crusade presents an interesting conundrum for World of Warcraft players: drop your existing high level character for the allure of starting one of two new races, or keep on with your uber-equipped killing machine and brave the shattered realm of Outland.

So far, most beta players have opted for the high level rewards of Outland over starting a new character. But this isn't to the detriment of TBC's two new races, the manga-esque Blood Elves and the big blue aliens the Draenei - both have aspects that have drawn concern from the typically vocal WoW fan base, but overall are shaping up nicely.

  • FiringSquad Previews The Burning Crusade

FiringSquad.com has posted a preview of the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, The Burning Crusade.

The Blood Elves are the new Horde race, Blizzard’s answer to the calls for attractive models and Paladins for the Horde. Continuing the story from WarCraft III, the Blood Elves have split from the Alliance by making common cause with Illidan. Their lands and Silvermoon, their city, lay in ruins. The passage of the Scourge has quite literally left a mark on what were once the beautiful lands of the elves.

  • Burning Crusades Hands-On Preview

ProG has joined the host of sites getting a chance to preview the upcoming expansion for World of Warcraft. Nightfall has been a hot topic of late. Keep reading to see what their impressions are.

It's probably the most anticipated expansion in videogame history.

The problem for WoW fanboys like me who have been dipping their virtual toes (or, if you're a Tauren, hoofs) into the beta for the last couple of weeks is that there's absolutely masses of new stuff to wade through, and it's almost impossible to be objective about it.

  • Sprawl's Scrawl - First Impressions of Closed Beta

WoW Vault has posted a preview of WoW's upcoming expansion, The Burning Crusade. This preview is full of impressions from closed beta, so don't miss out!

One of the first things you notice upon logging into Burning Crusade beta is a number of quick popup boxes that indict that the system is scanning for viruses and the like. It's good to see that Blizzard is taking active steps at keeping a blacklist of known exploits. Once again the new player is presented with a view of the Dark Portal, this time from the Outland side. At this point, if you haven't upgraded your account with a key, do not expect to login.
