Bounty Bay Online is a pirate-themed MMOG from Snail Electronic Company released in September of 2007. Features include more than 60 historical cities, ports, and secret pirate hideouts, a comprehensive quest and guild system, epic duties and responsibilities, trade embargoes, and import taxes. Players can play as a simple farmer, skilled crafter, adept merchant, driven explorer or ruthless pirate.

Gameforge Bounty Bay Online shut down on September 20th, 2012. Snail Games is currently pursuing an avenue of publishing the game so that it can continue.

    At the Leipzig Games Convention one of the surprises of the show was Bounty Bay Online, an upcoming piratey MMOG that features all of the familiar components we've grown to know and love. Recently BBO was released to the public and is available - at least in Europe - at retail stores. Now the developers of BBO are working on releasing a constant stream of updates to the public.
