  • Wanted: Dead or Respawned.
The good folks at our EQ2 Community Site have posted Norrath's Most Wanted, a list of the most popular and elusive creatures in Everquest 2.

" Throughout Everquest 2, you will find thousands upon thousands of goblins, orcs, gnolls, etc. to cleave with your blade but some creatures you will notice are just a little out of the ordinary.   Like that guy that feels comfortable enough to wear a pink shirt to work, these creatures will stand out above the rest.  They are tougher, carry more treasure, and are in many cases intentionally sought out and dispatched as soon as they appear.   Below is a guide to where you can find these unique beasts and hunt them down.  Be warned however, that waiting for some to spawn requires more patience than sitting in a McDonald's drive-thru. "

  • Are you a heretic or a believer? Will the Burning Crusade be hot or just luke-warm?
Those crazy bananas at our World of Warcraft site have posted a great article that takes a look at the upcoming Burning Crusade expansion. How will this expansion affect you, or will it? Find out in, "Thoughts on the Burning Crusade: How Will It Affect You?".

" But as the future of the Game shifts before us, I realised that by raising the level cap an extra 10 levels, it will change the face of the (medium-end) game as we have come to know it. It will seriously affect many in-game aspects that few have considered. "

  • 17K Space Rats and Going Strong...
EVE Online reached another peak concurrency record over the Thanksgiving weekend. While 17,000 online at once doesn't seem like much in light of WoWs millions, it's significant to see a smaller, older, truly unique game growing by leaps and bounds in its own way.

At 19:45 on Sunday evening (2005.10.23) EVE players broke their own Peak Concurrent Player (PCU) record with 17.032 playing at the same time.

This is only days after a highly successful installation of TMS RAMSAN 400 Solid State Disk Array virtually eliminating all Database related LAG in EVE Online.

Congratulations to all involved in making history once again.

  • Darkness is rising over the dark age.
MMORPG has posted their review of Dark Age of Camelot: Darkness Rising.

"Darkness Rising has added player driven mounts, a Champion level system of quests and rewards, and my personal favorite – Subclassing.
The mounts are all horses, regardless of race and realm from what I have seen, but you get to ride them at a pleasant pace. They are faster than running which is good for any class that does not have a movement speed buff and not too shabby for those that do. You can get the basic horse at level 35. At higher levels, you can upgrade your horse so that you can add barding to it. A really cool feature is that you can cover your horse in your guild colors. Who would you not want to? All in all, I have to say that this is a much needed and overdue addition, but they did it as well as any other game that has player driven mounts, and it is arguably much better looking. The horses look great. Best of all, you can’t fall off if you accidentally hit the spacebar."
