Stargate Worlds is a massively multiplayer online role playing game based on the Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis TV series, with playable areas based on historical & fictional human time periods, alien environments, and outer space locations. Players will be able to play as multiple races from the TV series including Goa'uld, Jaffa, Asgard, and Humans. Along with the four main races, players will also be able to select from various class archetypes that also offer a variety of skill.
After years of controversy and lawsuits, CME lost the license for their Stargate games and on January 15th, 2011 shut down service for its Stargate Resistance game and ended its Stargate Worlds forums support.
