Eurogamer has posted an Auto Assault interview featuring Scott Brown, the president of NetDevil. Mel Gibson, his eyes wild and his clothes torn, looked madly into the screen and exclaimed:

"An extended interview with Scott Brown, President of NetDevil, the developers behind Auto Assault, who answers our questions about the fastest, most destructive MMO ever, which will be available from NCsoft simultaneously in Europe and the USA later this year."

  • Even villains like their 15 minutes of fame.
GameHelper has posted a City of Villains interview featuring Senior Designer, David "Zeb" Cook. The Riddler appeared in our office and said something that didn't resemble this at all:

"For City of Villains, we’ve created a whole new setting, the Rogue Isles, for villain players.  Located in the Atlantic and beyond the jurisdiction of the heroes of Paragon City, the Rogue Isles are ruled by Lord Recluse, head of Arachnos, a world-wide evil organization bent on – well, the same things all evil supergroups want. This gives us a place where players can be villains without having to worry about being overrun by the thousands of hero characters already out there.  The Rogue Isles fit with the existing CoH timelines hand-in-glove and you will see crossover between the two – story elements, famous characters, and, of course, player interaction in the PvP zones."

  • Fuel trucks with flame-throwers. What could go wrong?
RPGVault has posted an Auto Assault Interview featuring on the crafting system. A Biomek looked our way spouting 10001101101100011110000, before banging his prosthetic arm against his head and saying:

"By consulting with a number of the NetDevil team members, we obtain a variety of opinions on the crafting system"

  • Why do villains live in such dingy, dirty places?
IGN has posted a City of Villains interview featuring Senior Designer Sean Fish. On an island of villains backed by the U.N. we found the following etched into a slab of rock:

"Today we got the chance to talk to Senior Designer Sean Fish about what exactly a signature villain is, where they'll be in the game, and when players can expect to actually see them."

  • /moon Marvel. /moon DC.
GameSpot has 10 new City of Villains screenshots posted. A villain, a hero and a victim walked into a bar:

"...and apparently nothing happened. GameSpot has zero, zilch, nada explanation of these screenshots. Was it late? Perhaps the guy who posted the shots doesn't know what they are shots of? Perhaps they are just random shots with no commonality at all? Perhaps they are part if a sinister and tricky viral marketing program?"

  • Orcs and Goblins and Wizards, oh my!
Turbine has posted a look at the Goblins and Orcs of Lords of the Rings Online. I had a dream last night, in black and white no less, that went something like this:

"Where Tolkien has used both the names 'Goblin' and 'Orc' for the race, we've used the terms in the interest of gameplay to represent different types of Orc-kind. 'Orcs' are larger, brawnier creatures, whereas 'Goblins' are smaller, and the sort that might ambush you in dark caverns underground."

  • Fast Cars and Big Guns.
A new Auto Assault Recon covering Tempernet (survivors of the apocalypse) is up on the Official Auto Assault site. The ground shook and thunder rolled before we noticed something like this written on some ruins:

"In the early days of the Contamination, Human scientists developed a plan to supplement military and police forces with AI-controlled robots, deliberately designed to quell social unrest and keep riots in check. TemperNet facilities were self-sufficient, able to maintain their local units and gather resources when needed. Left behind during Righteous Fire, the TemperNet AI grew and became self-aware, rationalizing the one true way to eliminate social unrest was to eliminate organic life completely. "

New City of Villain screenshots have been posted on the official site. Above the entrance arch to the Justice League of Lower Slobobia is written:

"Those fancy pants NCSoft guys posted screenshots, but no descriptions. Now we have to figure it all out for ourselves."

  • On your desk = deskpaper.
The Official Guild Wars site has delivered some new deskpaper. Truthfully, we can't see the desk for all of the icons, but hey!

"This is a test of the emergency quote system. In the case of a real quote you would be notified who to contact. We repeat, this is only a test. BEEEEEEEP."
