We have started a brand new contest here at Auto Assault @ Ten Ton Hammer. We call it “Spring into Auto Assault.” From February 16, 2006 until March 1st, 2006 you have the chance to enter to win all kinds of prizes including a pre-order goodie pack! All you have to do is create your own vehicle skill / ability and post it in the Auto Assault @ TenTonHammer forums. It’s that simple!
Ralsu of our DDO @ TenTonHammer community brings us a basic guide to the fighter in Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach. If combat is your thing, and you like to dish it out as well as you take it, then the versatile fighter may be the class for you.
Adventuring parties welcome fighters for their ability to withstand hits while providing solid damage. When the party’s scout bumps into a gargoyle around the corner or spiders besiege the cleric, it will be the fighter who rushes in to “clean house.” Players who choose to create a fighter will enjoy the ability to join any fracas and the specialization possible because of the numerous bonus feats fighters receive.
Darkgolem offers up his guide to playing the cleric class in Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach (DDO) to its fullest advantage. Do you know when to hurt, and when to heal? Or when it's appropriate to use damage spells? Find out as DDO Ten Ton Hammer's resident power-gamer shares his secrets.
Don’t forget the benefits of using your shield in combat. A cleric out of spell points and support abilities can draw the attention of foes scattered from a melee by hitting them then backing off, raising his shield, and keeping them centered on himself until his melee friends can deal with them. You’d be surprised at how effecting the damage reduction of a raised shield can make you a defensive bulwark.
World of Warcraft @ TenTonHammer gets queued up for some PvP action in the popular battleground instance, Warsong Gulch. This capture-the-flag style battle between 10-man crews from the Horde and Alliance will test your wits (not to mention level, experience, equipment, and all that good stuff!). You'll be at a disadvantage without getting schooled on the bg basics, which is where we come in!
On the surface, it's purely a game of "capture the flag." Two flags, two bases, and your object is to bring the opponent's flag to your base three times (i.e. earn three points before your opponent does). One significant rule change from the traditional game is this: that you have to defend your flag in order to score a point. In order to score, your team must touch the opponents' flag to your flag in your home base.
Looks like character transfer is the phrase of the day. If you want to move to Rexxar and you're on Suramar, Draenor, Feathermoon, or Windrunner, you need to get busy. The transfer will end on Thursday, February 16. That's tomorrow.
Now, I'm happy for all of the people who get to transfer their characters to new realms to alleviate all of that clogging. However, I'd be extra happy if Blizzard could get off their duffs and fix the lag problem on Sen'jin which is a new server. It was unplayable last night and nobody wants to pay for a game that horks you off because you can't play it.
No need to patronize a creepy voodoo shop for your DDO spellbook...
Darkgolem brings us the second in his series of spell descriptions for Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach. He breaks down the effects and benefits of each Level 2 spell for the caster's repertoire. Dargolem also provides us with extra knowledge gained from his extensive research:
Much like Hypnotism, [Hypnotic Pattern] is very useful for causing your foes to hold still and do nothing while you defeat them one at a time. Of note is that the hypnotism effect does not have a duration, lasting until broken, even if you should leave and come back later, as long as the instance does not reset.
Wondering how to get into the Auto Assault beta?
Xerin has you covered! We bring you the first in a new series of newbie guides designed to get you into the game. Our first guide in this new series goes over how to get into, install, and start playing the Auto Assault beta. From start to finish we guide you through this process. Be on the look out for more guides designed to help you get started with Auto Assault.
The first step to playing the beta is actually getting into the beta. This isn’t as hard of a process as you think. There are two ways to get into the beta. One is a “lottery” type situation where you sign up on PlayNC and hope your name is drawn out of a hat. The other is to pre-order the game, which puts you in line for priority beta access.
Samyel, on the Guild Wars - TenTonHammer community site, has just finished polishing up the Elementalist skills, so everything should be tickity-boo and trustworthy in their skill lists. This week we began work on the Mesmer lists, kicking off with the general and Fast Casting skills. Onwards and upwards, we're making progress!
There's a new producer letter up for Star Wars Galaxies.
Going forward, our overall goal this year is to continue to improve our game by focusing on adding content that offers players the best interactive entertainment experience available online today. We are lucky as we already have the greatest entertainment brand to build content around – Star Wars .
Mmhmm that was all well and good before they changed the game. Now it's just like any other EQ clone. *big sigh*
