  • Pirates of the Carribbean Online Quiety Launches with Little Fanfare

    Wait, what? Really? When did that happen?

    In a surprising move, Pirates of the Carribbean Online sent out an e-mail announcement yesterday evening which announces the close of beta and suggests that the game will be launching imminently. This announcement came only four days after they had started beta phase 2, and caught everyone a little off guard. Some fan sites are discussing how the beta community is also surprised by this, and the opinion of many players is that the game is not yet ready for launch.

    MMORPG.com is reporting launch details for the upcoming Pirates of the Carribean.

    Disney Online today announced details surrounding the launch of Pirates of the Caribbean Online, the highly anticipated massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) based on the popular film franchise. Scheduled to launch in spring 2007, Pirates of the Caribbean Online will allow players to set sail on their own adventure and interact with Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann and other characters made popular in the movie franchise, as they embark on exciting quests in search of treasure and their own notoriety.
