  • If Dark and Light can pull off what they are attempting there will be a lot of happy gamers. Matthew Rorie of GameSpot gives his impressions of Dark and Light as seen at E3. Here is brief snippet from the article: "First off, the theme behind Dark and Light seems to be one of scale: the cluster technology used by Dark and Light supposedly allows for up to 500,000 players playing concurrently on the same server; the gameworld is 15,000 square kilometers in size; and the view distance lets you see up to 30 miles away. We only managed to see a small portion of this during our demo, obviously because of its huge size, although it does appear that some of these zones are already well-populated, presumably with beta testers. There are 12 realms in total, with two of those being starter areas, and the other 10 being PvP oriented." The article (about seven paragraphs long) can be read here.

  • Funcom brings you a MMORPG that is mostly free and it's still fun. Andrew Park of GameSpot had the opportunity to discuss Anarchy Online: Lost Eden with game director Morten Byom at E3. Here is brief snippet from the article:"Funcom is moving forward with a general upgrade to Anarchy Online that includes upgraded graphics and textures, both for environments and for character models. According to Byom, this change will not be a one-off addition, but rather, something planned for the next several months. The expansion itself will be released later this year, though in exactly what form (possibly packaged with the original game and one or more expansion packs) has not yet been revealed."The article (about three paragraphs long) can be read here.

  • Vendetta Online Review A niche game with a nice pricetag gets a niche review at Game Industry News. "With plenty of Medieval style MMORPG’s floating around where wizards, warriors and gnomes are plentiful, Vendetta Online brings you to a sci-fi world where you get to man your own spacecraft. This is, no doubt, a welcome relief from a world flooded with some games that just look alike. The story starts with what we all knew would happen; mankind took over the stars and made space into a metropolis of space stations. Space stations take over for cities, and asteroids and space junk take over for…well…potholes? Of course, there are warring factions because we all can’t just get along, even in space!"

  • Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Wookies Review More Star Wars...the expansion pack for Star Wars Galaxies, called Rage of the Wookies have been reviewed by the good folks at GameZone. "Before getting into the meat of the expansion, there are a couple of things that must be noted: First, players need to have the original title and the first expansion, Jump to Lightspeed, in order to participate in this title. Rage of the Wookiees is a digital download and Jump to Lightspeed is included with all orders of Episode III at no additional charge."
