Now that we have new consoles we can finally get some new tech to help improve the gaming experience. And that’s what Ubisoft Massive has been working on with the Snowdrop engine, the tech that will power their upcoming title, Tom Clancy’s The Division. The Snowdrop engine was developed specifically to create the vast universe of The Division. The video below from this weekend’s VGX on Spike showcases the “dynamic” environmental changes, day and night cycles, object interaction, and detailed atmospheres that Massive is working on for The Division.

The Division was announced during E3 2013 and is set in a New York following the collapse of pandemic-stricken society. If all goes as planned, The Division is expected to launch in Spring 2014 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
