The War Z has launched its new official website and filled it with shiny new images of blood drenched zombies looking for a midnight snack. Perhaps the last true bastion of the horror genre rests with our flesh-eating friends (barring some Twilight fanatic decides to make sparkling zombies with a love interest), and The War Z has revealed a little more information on what the game is all about with new screenshots and an official FAQ.

“The response in the first week since we announced the game has been incredible and it’s totally inspired the team,” said Eric Nordin, senior game designer for The War Z. “We’ve been following all of the comments on the various forums as well as our Facebook page and it really validates that we’re creating something that gamers want to play.  We’re going to continue working hard and make sure we deliver the best game possible!”

Since its announcement earlier this month, The War Z reports that more than 100k players have signed up for the upcoming closed beta. Additionally, the website is also offering early beta access for players that pre-order their copy of the game, but the follow-through link appears to be busted as of this writing.

The War Z is currently in alpha testing and expects to move into beta testing by the end of the summer followed by a fall launch. Visit The War Z website to learn more and to sign up for the closed beta.
