thank you for the effort, it is not THAT big of a deal (at least for me)....but I highly appreciate it if you find a suitable solution for european gamers.
I am a bit curious how many TTH community members are from outside USA and Canada, or Loading readers...do you got any closer numbers concerning that topic ?
I would like a "Loading" forum, with the mass amount of writing peons around *see above* it will be a worthwhile break to read while siting in a office or some such.
As I posted in the "give away forums thread" sadly no goodies for me, since I can not participate in the "grab the Lord British Signature" event...I would LOVE to grab my greedy fingers on those Tabula Rasa boxes...Europe 4 teh win !11one! :D
Whatever, I like the new TTH forum layout and those nifty new features
If I would select a team to build a Online game, the first person I would try to convince would be
David Allen.
I think that he has the imagination to walk a path beside of the rail where everyone goes,
away from the annoying class/level based gamesystems to something better and less wedgeing (sp/gram?).
I think here about the first concepts for Horizons (they where abondoned after he got kicked out from Artifact Entertaiment).
The next person would be maybe Richard Garriot, but if I think how he accepted the design changes within Tablua Rasa...na lets keep him away from MY team :)
I do understand that first ideas can change a lot, also in the light of marketing and the need to actually please the "statistic gamer" speak "pay the bill".
Maybe build a team with new unknown folks and have some "wise Cardinal Richelieu guy" in the background.
If I look at the current games coming to release or already public...I dont see much new approach...same old, same old so to speak.
Maybe I am unjust and unfair to some of the current/upcoming games, but I dont realy see much of new desgins (well, at least for games with a good chance to let the coin rolling and staying for a while)
TTH is my first stop for MMPO information, be it current games or games in the making.
Medeor said much about how he see and would like TTH to improve in the future, since I dont want to repeat already said things ( I agree and think the same as well ) I will just add a other point.
Peoples and here the beloved MMPO gamer, like to brag and show off..showing off about acomplisments or just how they handle several ingame happeings.
The Cencus example is a clear sign for that, aside of number crunching and statistical information needs/wants.
Why not create a platform for that purpose ?
There would be many ways to built such a "overall-show-it-off-and-brag-about-it" platform.
Maybe features like:
Live ingame cams, covering different games with small real-time snippets of gaming expiriences like PvP or exploring or massive raids...what ever may fload the gamers boat :D
The said "cockpit" as control panel with the option to select TTH features like the user want them to be.
Far above the idea of skins, just giving users and gamers seeking information...the opportunity to highly customize his website for all needs and wants.
Gameinformation in databases with nice a onslaught of a hughe piles of knowledge, where you can query nearly every term and topic.
---------
The postcount badge of honor, the sign that there is someone who contributes to a community or whatnot, we all know that postcountheros with the usual "I agree" or "what he said, what he said " and the beloved "can I have ur stuff?" comments are in the same boat like the real contributers who exchange opinions or try to give information and help.
Why not have a qualifing "helper count", where I have no real idea how you should built such a system without pissing off the stereotyped postcount "thxdrivethru" hero.
Anyway, I am curious what TTH will become in the future and what way to improve you will find....I try to support and continue reading "my" TTH.

At least they stated some reasons "why the beta was closed", not like Wish as the Wish servers got sold via Ebay a few days after Wish beta closed.
Gods and Heros beta was fun and the community was very friendly and focused on beta testing not complaining.
Oh well *sigh*
