Accidental double post. Nothing to see here. Move along.

I wouldn't say that I loved corpse runs, but there was definitely something to be said for having to depend on other players. There's very little of that in MMOs today. I do miss camping, though. Some of the best times I ever had were hanging out with my buddies camping some rare spawn, and usually drinking a lot of beer to pass the time. (You're not drinking alone if you're with online friends. That's the story I'm sticking to.)

All of these mechanics could be a real pain in the ass. I'm not sure I'd want to go back to them, but I will admit that MMOs have changed a lot and people just don't hang out together like they used to. The guilds I've been in all seem to drift apart after they tear through a game, and I don't actually get to know most of the people I game with now except the few old friends I hang with.

Easy to reminisce, but yeah...do I really have all night to camp some rare drop? Maybe not. Wish I was that young again when I could pull an all nighter and still work the next day.

so, what if these studies do prove not only correlation but causation? Does that mean we ban violent video games? Or you have to get a license to have them? Pass a background check? I know you're ultimately saying that we have to be responsible for our flawed human nature first, but I'm just saying what if. This crap always scares me--government funded studies on the affects of this or that. Feels like a witch hunt to me. So, you get rid of violent video games and...then what? How are you going to stop exposing kids to the violence they see on the nightly news or on the streets or in their own backyards?

Anyone know where these are available in the US? I found some of the other models in the line at Amazon, but not the V3 you reviewed here. I know you said they're all the same spec and price, but I like that you said the V3 is very similar in shape to the Death Adder. My dog killed mine recently (damn dog), and this looks like a promising replacement for ~$10 less.

Also, the DLC part of this is weird. I don't know that it pisses me off, though. If I like the mouse and couldn't care less about the FPS stuff, then I don't have to pay the extra to get it.

This game seemed to have some promise when I first heard about it. I wouldn't mind a return to some hardcore mechanics at all. But, after testing it, I had to pass. It's crap right from character customization (ugly character models much?) and just gets worse as you go. And the griefers were out in force when I was playing, so...yeah. Griefer's paradise. Not much more to it.

Oh, and calling the graphics "dated" is an understatement.
