  • New PlayerScore Updating Client

    Our newest PlayerScore client, version 5.0 is now available for download. This version was written in Adobe Air and is therefore cross-platform compatible. If you are using the old version of our updating client you should remove it before installing this update. We will put a self-terminating function in the current client that will shut it down and prevent it from conflicting with this one, but in general its not a good idea to have obsolete software still on your computer.

    Hey guys, Internal testing buy our teams has revealed that it may not be possible to assign GearScore, or RaidScore to Panda characters in the next expansion. It has something to do with being 5 year old who loves pandas....

    I finally got myself a Razor Naga (Molten Edition)!

    About a year ago, I really wanted a naga mouse for my birthday. However, my girlfriend goes to BestBuy and the jerk working there tells her that I wouldn't like the naga because its too hard to push the buttons on the side. He told her to get me the World of Warcraft mouse (Cataclysm Edition).

    I finally found a guild who will accept me! Most guilds, boot me as soon as they find out that I'm, "the sonuvab**** who ruined wow." What guild is this who's members are vile enough to invite me into their fold? Why of course, Bouncy Lady Parts on Shadowmoon.

    Now I know what you're thinking, "Bouncy Lady Parts is an alliance guild!". That's right! I have betrayed the horde and started a new alliance character. As such, I have immediately lifted the 10% GearScore penalty for alliance characters.

  • Dragon Soul Experience and Raid Progression

    Hey guys, I just wanted to take a moment to let you know that I'm almost finished with the latest update for PlayerScore. The biggest change will be the inclusion of raiding progression, experience charts, and RaidScore that includes Dragon Soul. These updates take a bit of time, because we have to make sure the scores work both on our website and in the addon in identical ways.

    I'm aiming to get this out this Tuesday, but with the holidays breathing down my neck it may come out further in the week.

    You would be surprised at all the extra things you see in wow when you got eyefinity! I was running around Silvermoon in my sexy pink dress when I noticed a naked elf! That's right guys, if you get 3 monitors you'll see naked girls (Who are probably guys...). I mean, after I spent all this money on this setup I'm sure its the only type of naked girls I'll ever see again.

This version will introduce several new ways to quickly and easily connect to our World of Warcraft database, so you can quickly find out how to complete a quest, find that upgrade to your weapon you've been lookin' for, or simply find a specific NPC.

Yes, we have no intention of keeping any addon the author doesn't want here. So they can sign up and keep it here, win great prizes and earn rewards, as well as allowing people to access their software in a more usefull way, or they can simply request us to remove it via the claim button, in which case we'll remove it without problem.

Instead, they are being told at the encouragement of a few to spam us with DMCAs, which have legal consequences for not only us, but for them as well, and well... once the lawyers get involved everything slows down.

Why? Well the faster our new site goes down, the faster those sites can return to making 100% of the money because of the monopolistic nature of their service. We arn't trying to make boat loads of money here. We are trying to provide a free and simple to use service that benefits everyone.

Anyone is free to join and be a part of that service, and anyone is free to opt out and go elsewhere either. We have no intention of forcing anyone to stay here.

We are concerned about delivering outdated addons to people as well. That is actually the main purpose of the import feature, which I will agree may need some clarifications on its usage.

We wanted to provide a way for you to update your addon on another website, and then simply import the update. Currently, when I release a new version of PlayerScore I have to do A LOT of work to update, and I agree that's a pain. Now I can just update on curse and instantly import my update to WOA.

We in no way want to monopolize the distribution of Addons, and want authors to be able to distribute them easily and without pain.
