You know what really kills me about the addon vs no-addon debate? These folks who think they are elite for raiding without mods. Who do they think is writing the mods? The mage with a 5 stam enchant on his boots or the raid leader of Paragon? Yeah, it's the ridiculously smart guys who are way better at the game than most of us will ever be - you know the ones, they have spreadsheets, charts, graphs and complex equations written on the tops of their desks. Do a poll of the players in on the world first heroic rag kill and see how many of them were mod free, I have a feeling it's a nice round number - like 0.
All this signals is that WoW now has competition and its a win for everyone. They are simply doing things that lots of other games have done to stay competitive and as usual their moves are both timely and smart.
What's your talent point split? Sounds like a promising PvP build.
Ah ha! And so they were, thanks for the catch. It seems our file import system was also feeling a bit overwhelmed by the massive amount of E3 content.
One of the main development aspects of Rift was this ability to rapidly create and deploy content. It will be part and parcel with all of their MMOGs. Hal did say that they never want it to be a mad-libs style content factory though, they want things to be cool and fun. I like the system and I love the living world feel.
