I have to say the review on the PvP seems a bit jaded. As a player just being introduced to the secret world and gaining a basic grasp of one or two weapons then heading into PvP to help defend my faction I would expect to get my butt whooped because I don't know squat. The balance comes with experience and skill, both AP/SP and playing skill. As you learn how to work through the maps you will be able to assist your faction better. There shouldn't be an equalizer in this area since the real world doesn't equalize battlefields because it's not fair if one side isn't as skilled or advanced. That's the joy's of life.
As for the whole respec point...by the time you find out your build isn't the greatest you've moved beyond the starting town of Kingsmoth and are gaining XP for AP/SP at a fairly fast rate. Even if your build isn't optimal for dungeons you can quickly respec in a few hours to the same point you've gotten to with your current weapons. And for those that say it's hard for a casual player, I call BS. I have 3 kids, a wife, a social life, and moving to a different country and yet I found the time to fill my inner ring and find out for sure which weapons I want to use as my primary setup.
