Thanks for the comments Doc,
Yes I realize that it does help to empty out the world, which is a big con.
I thought I covered that in the big section about it destroying the social aspects of the game and continued it in the off server section.
You are correct in the fact that I really like the Dungeon and Raid finder for simplicity and ease of use, but that really does conflict with my desire for a more social game than WoW currently is. I am lucky that I have a large base of friends to play with, that I have played with for a long time, and just use the LFG tools to supplement groups when there are only 1 or 2 friends on.
I do like the ability to do that immensely, but really do dislike the destruction of the social aspects.
I thought that came across, but if not, hopefully this clears it up a bit.
I thought I was the only one!
I'm kind of stuck with WoW in that I "have" to play beta to be able to write about it, but really hate doing so.
Case in point, for Diablo 3, I got a beta invite but actually never used it because I wanted to wait for the real game and not spoil the anticipation.
Good think I didn't, man am I sucked in... Only reason I'm reading your message right now is server restart :-)
Nope, I work for TenTonHammer. :-)
Also, while this piece comes across very positive and pro-Blizzard, keep in mind that I slam them quite often for various things.
It just really is a great time for someone to come back if they haven't played in a while.
Free D3, free upgrade to Cataclysm, Free epic flying, free level 80, free faction change, free realm change, some mounts, and more...
Combined that really does make the best reason ever to sign up for WoW again.
Most tanks though aim to be hit capped through gear, not through flasks. I am at 102.5% without flasks and therefore take the stamina. Many tanks do the same thing.
I agree stamina is not the be all and end all like it was before. But only a tank would pick that up, most players see the big huge number and stam and think TANK, so it was there for effect. The average player that is not a tank does not understand that stamina is not the best stat until you are hit capped (and even then avoidance can still be better), they see big stamina numbers and understand tanks need health. 450 stam or 0 stam by not taking a flask is an easy example for the average player to follow. While I could have used 300 mastery, it would not have the same meaning to the masses....
The duplicate 3% was an accidental cut and paste issue. As for the 4% not being listed, many buffs are not listed, there are almost 30 that are possible after all. The ones listed for the base of most buff lists. Buffs or debuffs that come from a single class are usually not counted on, especially in this context of being a simple buff list for new raiders that plan on using the upcoming raid finder.
