Plenty of people still use text regularly, but it is funny that you should mention that. =D
From the CNN article.
"The NSA allegedly listened in on numerous video calls made via Skype, which Microsoft bought two years ago. And Microsoft also worked with the FBI this year to give the NSA easier access to its cloud storage service SkyDrive, which has more than 250 million users worldwide, according to the Guardian's report, published Thursday."
Microsoft denied it but there's all kinds of stuff floating around from the leaked documents indicating that intelligence agencies "allegedly" have listened in on quite a bit. We just find it funny that they chose online gaming, a place where death is offered, threatened, and trashed talk all as part of normal gameplay and expected to find "suspicious chatter" in the text logs. Clearly they've never been to the Barrens. =)
Just prior to Xerin's piece I got to have my own bit of fun with the topic as well. We try to entertain and inform. =p
Well, to be fair we do have cookies.
AoC mostly only dabbled in topless women. I think this one is endeavoring to go a bit further with discreet virtual encounters or full blown Roman orgies.
Funny enough, Shay may become traumatized if I ever sent her some of the "other stuff" that I've come across from time to time. Though this one was a while back - Second Life unicorn babies. Let's just say that you didn't get them from a pet shop and leave it at that.
That is a creative prank. Harsh, but creative. You may want to watch it. That's the sort of thing you might spend years plotting revenge for. lol
Once you see Poseidon, you can't unsee Poseidon. ROFL
My job is often very tedious visiting a massive number of websites daily for news, so when Shay asked me to start sending some of the more interesting things I find, how could one not see that as a golden opportunity to have some tormentive fun? =p
The guy in black does have a comical undertone to him at the end. I wonder if that story has a happy ending. ~ducks the tomatoes~
I think I've seen or experienced most everything on this list at one point or another in my lengthy days of MMOing.
Good (and hilarious) list Gunkster.
