If that makes you a bad parent, then I might have to join you.
What a child can handle is extremely individual. The ESRB has its place as a tool for parents who may not be familiar with video games or for children who may not have watchful caretakers, but I am quite comfortable with my child playing some violent video games. As a parent, we do our research and we make choices that we feel are right, and no one should infringe on that.
As for violent video games causing the woes of the world. I could be mistaken (but I'm not), but I believe that senseless violence has been occurring since the beginning of time. I doubt Cain was fresh off of a CoD run before he took out Abel and I'm fairly certain that Hilter hadn't even heard of GTA. Bad people do bad things. Period.
Also, Hilter smackin a hoe. Teehee.
This is basically a list of games that made me the MMORPG fan that I am. I absolutely loved UO, although I'm not sure I'd have the patience to play a game like that again. It was one of the few games that made me rage quit on a regular basis, which I guess was kind of the beauty of it.
Nice walk down memory lane!
This whole west coast thing just kills my ability to rant and rave on Coyote's blogs.
I'd imagine that if someone was odd enough to be set off by a video game, then it could have just as easily been their Alphabit cereal that made them do it.
Fabulous blog Mrs! Much love to Coyote (for sucking it up and risking blindness to get it done) and to you (for putting up with his sorry male ass). *hugs and inappropriate groping*
Yeah, we need men because we can't tank. /eyeroll
There are a lot of girls who play to craft and heal because they can set themselves on auto-follow and still manage to keep that cam and MSN rolling while they pretend to play. Those aren't gamer girls. Those are girls who happen to game.
