You guys do know that SoE didn't release Vanguard, right? It was Sigil Games Online who made the epic fail of launching a game that was in such a terrible state.
SoE bought the game later, after its failed launch. I always thought that they picked it up to borrow ideas and code from the game for other games, but apparently they just wanted to let it sit around for a couple years and do nothing with it before finally making it free to play.
While SoE has their share of problems they have caused, the Vanguard launch issues weren't one of them.
