I'm quite taken with this game! It mixes a Friday night complex board game with buddies and a Saturday morning cartoon to make a great place to hang out. Some of the writing would be a little funnier with a bigger translation budget. There are a few more issues that I came across while in Beta. But, on the whole, Wakfu provides me with plenty of depth, plenty of cartoon like charm, and plenty of friendly competition with your above average competence-level gamer. What more could you want at this price?

I can see the excitement for Guild Wars 2. I've read up on it and it looks cool. I think there is a lot of mmo fatigue in my circle of gaming friends and we find Halo, Team Fortress 2, and a few other multiplayer action games a great way to still hang out and take a break. By the time Guild Wars 2 comes out, maybe we will be ready to do that whole thing again...though we may be shooting each other or playing Diablo III too much to check it out.

Firefall looked pretty sweet at PAX. http://www.firefallthegame.com/home I don't think it will be anything compared to GW2, but it does look cool.
Um..Halo 4?
