As an MMO game player I am used to settling into my comfortable chair, plunking a frosty cold beverage down on the desk, logging into my game of choice, currently World of Warcraft, and checking the auction house, my mail, checking if my friends are online, etc. It's a habit that I enjoy, probably much like Paris Hilton enjoys attention. I can't get enough of it. I login to see if I won the auctions that I bid on. I login to see if my auctions have sold. I login early and often, many time for only a few seconds just to check out some inconsequential piece of information.

As far as raid "dungeons" go, I'd have to say that Temple of North Veeshan remains one of the areas that I remember the most. Pulling the flurry drakes and then mogging through the zone killing dragon after dragon was amazing.
Chardok was a great dungeon. Agreed!
I'd say Planes are a different thing altogether, though the original Hate was a bit like a dungeon.
I've never seen a MMOG that didn't have some players running around looking for sexual interaction. I would imagine that even MMOGs that allow the player to create, like Second Life would have this aspect come to the fore at some point.
My best guess, is that it's the same reason they use cheat codes or God Mode in other games. They want the easy road.
