  • Plans for Blizzcon were finalized last night. Jeff, David, Byron and I will be landing in Sunny L.A. on August 2nd and departing the land that traffic planning forgot on August 5th. If you are going to BlizzCON and have an irrational need to meet any of us just let me know and I'll try to set something up. Plying Woleslagle and Mudry with beer might even get you some swag. You just never know.

  • Way back when there was a little game called EverQuest. It may have been dreamed up by 989 Studios or Verant Interactive or maybe it wasn't. All that anyone remembers is that SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) was the company that marketed it into the AAA title that it became.

    There are SOE haters and SOE fanbois. One thing that they have in common is the knowledge that SOE isn't going away any day soon.

    C|NET recently took a look atvthe publishing giant and talked to John Smedley, the president of SOE. Smeds had this to say,
