  • Sometimes press releases are so full of jibber-jabber that I can't get past the first paragraph. Other times, I can barely believe what I'm reading. You decide which category Entropia Universe falls into with this literary gem,

  • Where is the line at which a law becomes relevant to a virtual world? I vaguely remember reading about an accusation of rape in the game/world/porn holodeck called Second Life. It is vague because my tinfoil hat reflects all Second Life news as an alien attempt to take over my brain. Luckily for you, the Washington Post took off their tinfoil bonnet momentarily and brought up the incident in a recent article.

  • Welcome to your Monday and with it 19 new MMOG articles at TenTonHammer.com. That is more MMOG content than you will find on most of our competitors in an entire week. Quantity is fine, but quality is better. Our interview with Brian "Psychochild" Green is guaranteed to be one of the best interviews you read anywhere this week.

  • June has arrived, bringing with it some great events such as Summer, Father's Day and of course my birthday. Soccer fans will likely be watching the England vs Brazil friendly today. What a great start to the month!

Like Paris Hilton to a free bar, I keep getting attracted to Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising. I haven't been up close and personal with the game since my visit to Perpetual Entertainment HQ in April, but every time I peruse a new interview or article about the game I am lured back in.

  • We have lots of new content, you just can't get to it! We are having a technical difficulty that is stopping you from viewing our "deep-structure" content today. Rest, sit or stand assured that we are on the case. Our crack team of chimpanzees, rodeo clowns and stage hypnotists is working feverishly to solve the issue. I personally apologize for the problem though for once I am in no way, shape or form the cause of it.

  • CCP, the developers of EVE Online have defended their game and their honor in a straight-up, in-your-face post that I'm sure Goonfleet never expected. Goonfleet is the guild of SomethingAwful.com readers who have banded together to spread their unique flavour across the Net. Their unique flavour in this case apparently included trying to harm EVE Online and/or CCP.

CCP tells their side of the story, Interviews with Jeff Anderson and Cindy Bowens, men eating dogs and much more today in Loading...

  • Fly a spaceship in an enormous universe filled with hundreds of thousands of other players. Enjoy a player-driven economy, PVP and an active community. I don't play this game and chances are neither do you.

EVE Online is an excellent game. It doesn't suit my playstyle, but nonetheless it is a superb game.

  • Thanks to everyone who wrote in yesterday about the duplicity of the industry. You can read the public comments here. Thanks to everyone who wrote in privately via e-mail. I apologize for not replying to each of you, but yesterday brought a literal flood, a deluge if you will of letters, most of them coherent on the topic of double-dipping advertising dollars for good reviews.

  • In my humble opinion game journalism and game public relations are like the church and state. They should remain separate for numerous reasons, most notably that there is a mountainous conflict of interest.

If you are a company that writes evaluative articles about games then your company should not also be promoting games as part of its business model. Some companies are choosing to turn a blind eye to this obvious conflict of interest.
